General Gameplay
Please be reminded that respect is paramount. Without it, this game doesn't exist. We require that you respect everyone; from the members of the staff to all the other players themselves. Just because you are having an off day doesn't mean that you need to take it out by bitching and moaning at everyone else.

On that note, mild language is permitted. Why? We'd like to think you're all mature enough to handle a little bit of vulgarity now and then. However, don't be a total snob and swear more than a drunken sailor. It's not appreciated or tolerated.

Good grammar and punctuation is expected at all times, particularly when entering races as the Databases on the main site are very sensitive to names and cases!

The game is ran primarily by its president, Pinto, and vice president Erika. We dedicated much of our time to keeping Glory running and up to date, but like everyone else, we are also players just trying to have a good time. We're always up for a good chat and will do our utmost to answer any questions you may have. Don't hesitate to talk to us if you're having a problem, because it's what we're here for.

Starting Out
After your application has been completed and accepted by a member of the staff, you have one week to register on the forum, open a bank account, post an introduction, AND set up your stable thread in the Directory. We're a little more lenient with the Directory post (at least its full completion). Failure to do these first three steps will result in removal from the game, one week after a Glory Admin has sent your confirmation email.

You start the game with a $200,000 balance, which you are then responsible for in the Glory Bank. With that, you can purchase facilities, buy horses, enter races, and overall participate within Glory.

Active members will be rewarded a $3,000 monthly salary, and bursaries will be rewarded to members contributing greatly to the game in numerous ways. Failure to be active on the forum for one month will result in removal from that game.

Regarding facilities, you must have one stable AND at least 1/2 an acre for each horse. See your horse capacity on your member's page to check your current horse limit.

Breeding & Aging
Glory runs on accelerated time to keep the game's economy running at maximum efficiency and to make the game more interesting.
1 Glory Month = 2 Real time Weeks

A horse may breed once it is four years old. However, before a horse may breed it must be retired from racing. A mare is pregnant for around 11 game months (22 weeks). Foals are born between December (premature) and August. Breeding season is from February to August. Mares must wait one month after foaling before being bred again. i.e. if Mare A foals March A, she may not be bred for that year until April A. If a foal is born in August, the mare will not be in foal for the next season.

Speed-Aging
Simple: its not allowed.

Retiring
Horses must retire from breeding at age 20, though stallions may finish off their 20-year-old year in breeding. Horses are considered deceased upon turning 25 in the new year.

Racing
A horse may begin racing at age two and must retire by the age of ten. There is no defined standard for moving up the levels of racing, so please use your own discretion when doing so.

There are 2 race meets held per Glory month.

There will be one race meet hosted each week. Entries open on Mondays, close on Saturdays, and results will be published on Sundays. Horses may only race in one race meet per Glory month (with the exception of the Triple Crown), and will be allowed to be entered in one race per race meet. Choose wisely how long you want your horses rested! Injuries can and will happen to overworked horses.

Entry fees are 5% of a race's purse, with the exception of certain stakes which will require a 20% entry fee. Please be aware that entry fees must be paid for a horse to be eligible to race.

Please note that Pinto and Erika reserve the right to change and enforce rules as they see fit.
